They’ve also helped me regulate my nervous system, which I believe is essential for every teacher. ✏️ My Teaching Journey My passion for teaching started when I was 10. It began with me tearing pages out of magazines and pretending I was marking my students' work. This continued into high school, where I volunteered as a tutor and helped my peers prepare for their preliminary exams. I also became involved in projects that supported young children and their families in Soweto, helping them learn to read and write. In addition to that, during these years, I was elected as Chairperson of the Girls and Boys Educational Movement and served as Head Girl (RCL President) in my high school. These leadership roles helped me build the confidence to guide others, communicate clearly, and take initiative, qualities that now shape my teaching every day.
