Patricia
Hi! I’m Patricia, a passionate and experienced Mathematics teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. I genuinely enjoy helping students discover that Mathematics can be much easier and more enjoyable than they think.
I hold a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University and have taught high school students with different abilities and learning needs. I particularly enjoy working with students who struggle with Mathematics, want to improve their grades, or simply need someone to make difficult concepts easier to understand.
What makes my lessons different? I don’t believe Mathematics should be about memorising formulas without understanding them. I first take time to understand what you already know, identify the areas that are challenging, and then explain concepts using simple, clear steps and practical examples.
My classes are interactive and student-centred. We learn the concept together, work through examples, practise questions, correct mistakes and review your progress. I encourage you to ask questions freely, because there is no such thing as a “silly” question in my classroom. I also adjust my pace and teaching approach to suit your learning style and needs.
I can support secondary school students, including learners preparing for national examinations and other international curricula. Whether you need help with a particular topic, regular lessons, exam preparation, or building a stronger mathematical foundation, I’m here to help.
If Mathematics currently feels confusing or intimidating, don’t worry we’ll take it one step at a time. My goal is not only to help you get the right answer, but to help you understand why the answer is right and become confident enough to solve problems independently.
I’d love to meet you, learn about your goals, and help you become more confident in Mathematics. Let’s make Maths make sense! 😊
