Hello! I’m Karabo, a TEFL-qualified Business English teacher and Business Transformation professional. I specialise in helping adults and working professionals communicate more clearly, confidently and effectively in English. My professional background is in business transformation, programme and project management, stakeholder management, governance and facilitation. I have worked across telecommunications, information technology, banking and financial services, so I understand that professional English is about much more than knowing the right vocabulary. It is about being able to explain an idea, contribute to a meeting, present a recommendation, challenge a viewpoint, communicate with stakeholders and make yourself understood when the conversation really matters. That is what makes my classes different. I bring the business environment into the English lesson. Rather than treating you as a generic English student, I want to understand what you actually need English for and build our lessons around your professional goals. Our classes may include realistic business meetings, presentations, interviews, workplace conversations, professional emails, stakeholder discussions, negotiations or other situations that you encounter in your career. We can work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and fluency where they are relevant, but always with a practical purpose. I also believe that you should not have to lose your identity to become a confident English speaker. Your accent, culture, experience and personality are part of what makes you valuable. My role is to help you communicate your expertise more effectively in English, not to turn you into someone else. I hold a Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (168 hours), as well as certificates in Teaching Business English (30 hours) and Classroom Teaching Practice (10 hours). I organise lessons around your starting point, your objectives and the professional situations you want to master. We will identify where communication is currently difficult, work on the language and structure you need, practise it in realistic situations, and refine your communication through constructive feedback. Whether you are preparing for an important presentation, want to contribute more confidently in international meetings, need to communicate with clients or colleagues, are preparing for an interview, or simply want your English to become a stronger professional asset, I would be happy to work with you.
