I am very passionate about teaching and believe anyone can learn math! I love being able to break down a complex idea in a way that is accessible to all learners. I believe being a teacher is becoming a master of such a thing. I am extremely patient and love to use my creativity to explain and create a math experience that will make someone go "aha!". I think math is usually seen as being overly complicated or requiring extensive memorization to become proficient in it, but I believe anyone is capable of learning math and there are so many ways to think about math, to begin with. I try to incorporate all of these ideas and more into my teaching. I graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Mathematics Education. I am a certified math teacher with extensive experience in teaching all math levels and teaching students from a variety of different backgrounds. I excel in helping students with gaps in their math learning as I am able to quickly pinpoint what areas a student needs to go back and learn when they do not understand a specific topic. My methodologies are student-centered and I believe in having the student do as much of the mathematical thinking as possible while I guide them with questions and differentiated instruction when they are stuck. I am patient, love teaching, and am well-versed in all mathematics up to Calculus! I believe all students are capable of doing math, even when they themselves do not think so. With the right guidance and enough time anyone can become a master of the numbers.

Desde hace cuatro años me dedico a la enseñanza, tanto en modalidad virtual como presencial, guiando a estudiantes que buscan comprender mejor los temas que se les dificultan. En este tiempo he aprendido que enseñar no consiste solo en transmitir información, sino en acompañar, escuchar y adaptar la explicación hasta que el conocimiento realmente se entienda. Creo firmemente que no existen preguntas “tontas” ni personas incapaces de aprender, solo diferentes caminos hacia la comprensión. Por eso, una de las frases que más rechazo es “a buen entendedor, pocas palabras”. Para mí, si alguien no entiende, es responsabilidad del profesor explicar las veces y de las formas que sean necesarias hasta que el estudiante logre hacerlo. He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con personas con distintas capacidades y estilos de aprendizaje, lo que me ha permitido desarrollar una profunda paciencia y una sensibilidad especial para adaptar mis métodos a cada situación. Mi meta es convertirme en profesor, no solo por vocación, sino porque encuentro una enorme satisfacción en ver cómo alguien pasa de la confusión a la comprensión, de la frustración al logro. Enseñar, para mí, es una forma de transformar vidas, comenzando por la confianza que cada estudiante construye en sí mismo.
