Great day! My name is Coach Lyn. I love mathematics, and it has become my mission to share the love of learning the subject. I have had great success with my students, ranging from preschool to college level.
I like to apply math to real-world scenarios so that my students can fully grasp the relevance and necessity of knowing and using math in their everyday lives.
I am a certified mathematics educator with four years of classroom and online experience. I am adept in identifying the child's learning style and tailoring strategies based on the child's needs and interests.
My experience in classroom teaching helped me become a more effective teacher. I use a variety of customized and personalized games that I carefully design for each learner. This tremendously enhances children's motivation to learn math. I have witnessed students grow leaps and bounds, and they want to learn more!
I look forward to teaching you! Just drop me a message to learn more.

My goal is to help students build confidence and become more independent — Math doesn’t have to be scary! I offer online lessons with flexible scheduling and full support between sessions.
If you want to improve your grades or simply understand math better, I’m here to help. Let’s work together towards your success!

Together, we’ll create a positive learning journey where you feel supported and motivated to achieve your best.
Hi. I'm Douglas Zare, a mathematician and tutor.
I was a graduate student in mathematics at Caltech and a postdoc at Columbia University. I left academia to work in industry, but I enjoy teaching. I have written dozens of articles and a book on applying mathematics for general audiences. I'm working on a parent's guide to algebra and book on applying economics to improve environmentalism. I've tutored mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, and programming since 2013 on other sites.
My goal is to make the material make sense to you. Does it work? Sometimes. I have had a 200:1 positive:negative review ratio. I'm constantly trying to improve.
As a graduate student and postdoc, I was a teaching assistant for and then taught calculus, linear algebra, combinatorics, probability, and multivariable calculus, among others. I also coached Caltech's Putnam team and I can help with contest mathematics. I usually tutor college students, but I have also tutored many high school students and graduate students.
Hello!
I’m a physics student at ENS de Lyon (École Normale Supérieure), and I’ve always been passionate about teaching. Coming from a family of teachers, I inherited a lively pedagogical approach and a genuine love for sharing knowledge. That’s actually one of the main reasons I chose to study at ENS, as it’s one of the few institutions in France specifically dedicated to training high-level educators.
My academic background reflects my commitment and discipline: a former student of CUPGE (a selective university prep program), I graduated top of my class in middle school, high school, and during my first and second years of university (with an overall average above 19/20). I earned my French Baccalauréat with highest honors (including special jury congratulations), scoring 20/20 in mathematics, physics, and the final oral exam.
I’ve been tutoring for 4 years now, up to first-year university level. This experience, combined with my role as a note-taker for students with disabilities — has helped me build a clear, structured teaching method that makes even the most complex concepts accessible. I’m patient and attentive, and I truly enjoy seeing my students gain confidence and improve over time.
Outside of academics, I practice alpinism, airplane piloting, and various sports. Mens sana in corpore sano 😉 These activities teach me perseverance and balance, values I also strive to pass on through my teaching.
Hello, everyone! I'm Naima Ajmal, and I’m thrilled to be your tutor. With an MS in Economics from LUMS and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, I bring a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied economics. Over the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching various economics courses at LUMS, including intermediate macroeconomics, econometrics, computational macroeconomics, and microeconomic analysis. My teaching journey has been deeply rewarding, allowing me to refine my skills and adapt my methods to suit diverse learning styles.
What sets me apart is my commitment to personalized education. I believe that every student is unique, with distinct learning needs and goals. This is why I start with a diagnostic assessment to understand your current knowledge level, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, I create a customized learning plan that ensures you get the most out of our sessions. My classes are highly interactive, incorporating engaging discussions, problem-solving exercises, and practical applications to make learning both effective and enjoyable. I use a variety of resources, including textbooks, online tools, and interactive software, to cater to different learning preferences.
I’m approachable and here to support you every step of the way. You can expect continuous feedback through regular quizzes and assignments, with detailed progress reports to keep you on track. My goal is to create a supportive and motivating environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and expressing your ideas.
In addition to teaching, I have a strong background in research, with a focus on applied microeconomics and econometrics. My proficiency in programming tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, Dynare, and EViews allows me to bring real-world applications into our lessons, enhancing your understanding of complex concepts.
I am passionate about teaching students at various educational levels, from high school to undergraduate and graduate studies. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your foundational knowledge or delve into advanced topics, I’m here to help you achieve your academic goals. I look forward to embarking on this educational journey with you and helping you reach your full potential. Let’s make learning an enriching and enjoyable experience together!
