My name is Ahmed Squalli Houssaini, a private tutor in mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science based in Montreal, with over 10 years of experience. I work with students from secondary school through university, across the Quebec, French (AEFE) and English-language curricula.
My background bridges two school systems. I completed the French Baccalauréat with a specialization in Mathematics before moving to Canada, where I earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Finance and Mathematics from McGill University, followed by an M.Sc. in Applied Computer Science from Concordia University. This dual background gives me a precise understanding of what students in Montreal's French schools experience, and allows me to adapt my teaching to the exact requirements of each program.
I specialize in the AEFE program — the curriculum followed at Lycée Marie de France and Collège Stanislas. I know the textbooks, the exam formats, the marking expectations of the French Baccalauréat, and the specific challenges at each level from collège through Terminale. For Quebec-system students, I cover secondary 1 through 5, as well as cégep courses NYA (differential calculus), NYB (integral calculus) and NYC (linear algebra).
My teaching approach is built on one principle: understanding before memorization. I don't move on until a student genuinely grasps a concept, not just recognizes it. I work from the student's actual difficulties rather than a generic program. Every session is tailored to their level, their gaps and their goals — whether that means catching up on missed material, preparing for an exam, deepening their understanding, or making the transition to the next level.
One thing that sets my tutoring apart is between-session support. Students can reach me at any time with questions — a problem they're stuck on the night before a test, a calculation step that isn't clicking, a marked paper they can't make sense of. This support is included in the rate, at no extra charge.
I offer in-person sessions in Montreal as well as online lessons via Microsoft Teams and OneNote, with a shared digital whiteboard and real-time screen sharing. Small group sessions (2-3 students at the same level) are also available, which reduces the cost per student without compromising the quality of the session.
With over 100 students accompanied and a 5.0 rating on Google, my goal has stayed the same for 10 years: every student leaves a session understanding more than when they arrived

Hi there! I’m Rafaela, a Computer Engineering student at UFBA and a certified Electronics Technician from IFBA. If you feel stuck with math formulas or find programming intimidating, I’m here to help you see them in a whole new way!
My experience as a teaching assistant in Programming Logic has shown me that anyone can learn complex topics if they are explained through logic and practical thinking rather than just memorization.
I organize my classes based on your specific goals:
School Support: Helping middle and high school students build a strong mathematical foundation.
University Level: Focusing on Calculus and Linear Algebra for college freshmen.
Programming: A hands-on introduction to logic, Python, and C++.
I love studying new languages in my free time, so I know exactly what it feels like to learn something from scratch. Let’s turn those "impossible" problems into logical solutions together! Book a trial lesson and let’s get started!
Hello! My name is Younes, and I'm a passionate, patient, and dedicated language tutor with 3 years of experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. Hi. I'm Douglas Zare, a mathematician and tutor.
I was a graduate student in mathematics at Caltech and a postdoc at Columbia University. I left academia to work in industry, but I enjoy teaching. I have written dozens of articles and a book on applying mathematics for general audiences. I'm working on a parent's guide to algebra and book on applying economics to improve environmentalism. I've tutored mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, and programming since 2013 on other sites.
My goal is to make the material make sense to you. Does it work? Sometimes. I have had a 200:1 positive:negative review ratio. I'm constantly trying to improve.
As a graduate student and postdoc, I was a teaching assistant for and then taught calculus, linear algebra, combinatorics, probability, and multivariable calculus, among others. I also coached Caltech's Putnam team and I can help with contest mathematics. I usually tutor college students, but I have also tutored many high school students and graduate students.
Hello! I'm a passionate Mathematics tutor with a strong academic background in Physics and Computer Applications (MCA). I believe every student can excel in maths with the right guidance and a clear understanding of concepts. My lessons are interactive, student-focused, and tailored to each learner's needs. I teach Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and exam-oriented mathematics using simple explanations and practical problem-solving techniques. Whether you're preparing for school exams, competitive tests, or want to strengthen your fundamentals, I'll help you learn with confidence. I teach in English, Hindi, and Odia, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and achieving their goals.
