Hi! My name is Will, I'm a uni student at Exeter. And hopefully your new Maths tutor. My strengths lie in most areas of Maths (except maybe statistics aha). Before each of our lessons, I would request that you give me all of the issues you have encountered over whatever topics you are studying. I believe the most efficient way to learn a concept is to break it down into the most simple core concept and then rebuild the concept as a whole piece by piece building on that understanding. Therefore in our lessons, I intend to begin by looking at what concepts are the difficult ones, figuring out specifically where each of the issues lie, and then focusing and working on that problem until the base understanding is fully formed. And finally, when we are both happy that the understanding is cemented properly we will move on to practical learning - using what we've worked on to apply to a range of practice problems. Practicing application problems will help you get to grips with the process of using your knowledge and techniques to answer similar questions in mock and final exams. I believe practice is probably the best solution to consolidating both recall and application in education. No question is a silly question, and there will be absolutely zero judgment for any confusion. The root of learning comes from being open and happy to put a spotlight on and learn from your mistakes (I have made a very large number during my time as a student).

Me gustaría ganar mas experiencia enseñando a alumnos a nivel regional, nacional e internacional en distintos niveles a saber, primario, secundario, terciario y universitario. La dinámica de las clases se ajusta de acuerdo a la necesidad del alumno, con el propósito de generar comodidad a la hora de aprender. Poseo gran capacidad de adaptación a las necesidades de mis alumnos y me caracteriza la paciencia a la hora de responder cualquier tipo de duda ya que creo que es fundamental tanto a la hora de enseñar como de aprender. Fin da quando ero seduto sui banchi di scuola ho sempre pensato a quanto sarebbe stato interessante trovarsi dall’altra parte della cattedra ed ho sviluppato con gli anni una forte ammirazione verso il mestiere dell’educatore. Quando ho iniziato la mia laurea magistrale (nel 2020) ho infatti cominciato a dare ripetizioni a ragazzi in difficoltà, sia online che in presenza. I ragazzi mi riempivano di complimenti, dicendomi che riuscivano finalmente a capire materie complicate come fisica e scienze, ed io provavo una soddisfazione immensa nel riuscire ad aiutarli ed a svolgere questo mestiere. Tant’è che nel 2021 ho cominciato a lavorare nella scuola privata Athenaeum in cui ho svolto lezioni di matematica, fisica e scienze (comprendendo l’ottica, la geografia astronomica, etc.) di recupero e non per ragazzi di diversi indirizzi scolastici. Ho quindi già due anni di esperienza nelle lezioni frontali in classe che mi hanno portato ad avere sicurezza, abilità e soprattutto il rispetto dei miei alunni. Durante questo intervallo di tempo ho sia lavorato in aula sia continuato con delle ripetizioni sporadiche quando ero libero dallo studio per l’università.
