My name is OUSSEYNOU and I graduated from Cheikh Anta Diop University. Over the past few years or months, I have acquired diverse professional experience in various fields. Initially, I worked in my municipality for two years, where I had the opportunity to teach mathematics, physics and chemistry to 3rd and final year students while also focusing on myself.
We often tend to imagine professors, teachers or trainers as showmans capable of speaking for hours in front of an audience and holding their full attention through the strength of their charisma and leadership. In reality, teaching professions require above all knowing how to listen to students in order to be as close as possible to their needs. Knowing how to detect a student in difficulty in order to provide them with individualized help, being able to adapt your course according to the level of a class, or offering educational activities likely to appeal to as many people as possible.

I’ve been teaching Physics for over seven years now, and in that time, I’ve seen just about every reaction to the subject from excitement and curiosity to complete panic at the sight of an equation! But here’s what I’ve also seen: once students start to truly understand what Physics is about, their fear disappears, and in its place comes a sense of wonder. That’s the moment I teach for.
I hold master’s degrees in both Physics and Psychology, and that combination has shaped the way I teach. Physics satisfies the logical, analytical part of me, the side that loves figuring out how things work. Psychology, on the other hand, helps me understand how people learn, think, and stay motivated.
