Hello, I'm Paola Dessi graduated with 100/100 cum laude from the Scientific High School Option Applied Sciences and I am currently attending the first year of Biomedical Engineering. I have obtained different certificates both in English (B2 and C1) and in French. I have also participated in different competitions, ranking first place at the regional competition of the Olympics of Natural Sciences and Biology, as well as sixth at the national competition and first at the national competition of the Raffellesche Olympics.
During the lessons, I am particularly proactive and I like to make the pupil participate in the first person, involving him fully and using different teaching materials for better learning.

From Newton’s laws of motion to concepts of energy, waves, and modern physics, I guide students in understanding the principles that govern natural phenomena. Tengo 23 años de experiencia dando clases de apoyo. Empecé dando clases a domicilio cuando todavía estaba estudiando en la universidad y posteriormente he compaginado las clases particulares presenciales con trabajar en academias de enseñanza, llegando a dirigir una en Córdoba capital e incluso montando mi propia academia. Actualmente, llevo más de 3 años dando clases online a través de Classgap, GoStudent y por mi cuenta mediante Skype o Zoom, lo cual me permite dedicarme en exclusiva a la enseñanza.
Mi especialidad son las Matemáticas a nivel de ESO, Bachillerato y los distintos tipos de educación para personas adultas (ESA, Bachillerato y pruebas de acceso a ciclos formativos de grado medio o superior o a la universidad para mayores de 25 años), así como de todas las asignaturas de Matemáticas que se imparten en los distintos grados de Magisterio. También me siento capacitado para dar clases de apoyo de Física y Química hasta 1º Bachillerato. Para cualquier otro nivel o modalidad de Matemáticas requerido lo veríamos personalmente antes de tomar una decisión.
En una clase habitual, lo primero en lo que centro la atención es en lo que el alumno/a esté viendo en ese momento en el desarrollo de su curso académico, basándonos en el material oficial de la asignatura (libros o apuntes) pero siempre aportándole aspectos y consejos de mi propia cosecha para que le sea más sencilla la comprensión de lo que estamos tocando. Es evidente que esto es lo más urgente y lo primero que debemos abarcar. Por supuesto, si es necesario, explico conceptos anteriores que sean imprescindibles para comprender lo que ahora mismo estamos intentando estudiar o, avanzamos más en la materia, si el ritmo del curso nos lo permite en algún momento.
Mi metodología habitual es resolver primero todas aquellas dudas que el alumno/a tenga sobre el tema que esté trabajando en esos momento. Posteriormente, suelo hacer algunos ejercicios tipo que abarquen lo que hemos visto anteriormente, con todo el detenimiento que sea necesario, y ya luego, siempre les pido que sean ellos los que me hagan algún ejercicio/problema propuesto por mí o elegido de su propio libro, para de este modo asegurarme que realmente han comprendido todo lo que les he explicado y, también, para ir corrigiendo pequeños fallos o despistes que se hayan podido producir. Por supuesto, todo esto es muy genérico, pues veo muy importante adaptarme a cada alumno, así que aunque haya una estructura general de clase, ésta puede ser muy cambiante en función de las necesidades.
Le doy una gran importancia al factor psicológico, no me considero un simple transmisor de conocimientos. Para mí lo más importante es conocer al alumno, saber llegar a él, ganarme su confianza para que de este modo confíe en mí y sepa que estoy ahí para ayudarle en todo lo que pueda. De igual modo hago mucho hincapié en que por mucho que yo le ayude, por muchas clases que demos, si él no trabaja es imposible que avancemos y que mejoren los resultados.
