Hi! I'm Mehmet from Turkey. I can teach you Turkish and/or English. I'm a native Turkish speaker with a good accent and a qualified&experienced English teacher. I can also understand a little bit of Spanish and Portuguese. I have got my BA, MA and PhD in the field of language teaching. I like learning about new cultures and talking about social issues. Teaching a language is my job and passion at the same time. I have taught to students from all age and proficiency levels with various motivations for more than 10 years. I am getting more and more experienced everyday but not old-fashioned. Thanks to my academic studies I can always update myself both in theory and practice. At the very beginning of my lessons, I typically try to analyze the needs, expectations, and language learning history of the students. Then, I design the best course (curriculum, methodology, materials ...etc) for the individual student. I try hard to make my students active-learners. I believe it makes a big difference. I am also well aware of cognitive and socio-cultural factors in learning, so I often refer to those factors during the lessons.
