I have studied Musicology, Audio Engineering, Composing for Film & TV, and I am a diploma level pianist. I have prepared students from grade 1 to grade 8 ABRSM exams as well as for piano competitions with excellent results. I am an experienced teacher based in Cardiff. I have worked professionally in London as a violinist and a teacher of violin, piano, viola and theory for the past ten years. I began playing the violin at the age of four, and spent many of my school years taking part in County and National ensembles. After leaving school I went on to achieve a BMus(hons) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and then an MA from Gothenburg University in Symphonic violin performance. Since graduating I have been a freelance violinist in London, playing in numerous orchestras, shows and for events. Alongside this I have become an accomplished teacher. My teaching experience ranges from individual lessons, to whole class violin, to being Head of Music in a London preparatory school. I focus on enjoyment, and tailor lessons to student preferences, while also including a strong technical foundation. I adapt lessons to suit each student, giving a bespoke service every time. I regularly arranges pieces that students would like to play, as well as having a detailed knowledge of grade exams, should that be the direction the student wishes to go in. Lessons themselves always involve a number of different activities, from scales and arpeggios, to studies, to pieces. I ensure that my students are always engaged and always take the desires of the pupil into consideration. The first lesson will depend on the student, and what prior abilities they have, and be mainly spent getting to know each other and deciding on what direction is best for learning.

I am Marc, singing and theatre teacher with 25 years of experience. I studied vocal studies, musical and music theatre. Singers who move you are not necessarily singers with perfect technique: they are the ones who let you get close, who tell you a story. I want to teach you how you can sing in a way that shows your authentic expression, so you can move people with your song. Together we’ll go through a process where you learn to stay close to yourself en tell a story from there. We look at what moves you and what the lyrics mean to you. You’ll learn techniques to connect your story and your emotions to a song. You’ll learn to distinguish different types of songs, for example narrative and lyrical songs. In my lessons I use the technical aspects of singing to support the process: when it’s needed we’ll work on singing technique, breathing technique, diction, different voice techniques and presentation. Because I am not only trained in singing, but also in dance, acting, music theatre and personal development, I combine all disciplines in my teaching. With me you’re also very welcome for coaching and directing in musical, music theatre, cabaret, and even circus theatre. During my travels I worked in several projects, like a peace circus in Israel and Palestine and theatre and music workshops for Syrian refugee children in Jordan. Now I travel with my family and I teach online lessons.

En 1998 ha participado en la XLIV Edición del Festival de Teatro Clásico de Mérida y en los Veranos de la Villa de Madrid 1998 , interpretando en las dos ocasiones en colaboración con la Capilla Real de Madrid, dirigida por Oscar Gershensohn, el Orfeo y Euridice de C.W. Gluck, en versión original (1762). En este mismo año también ha participado XVI Festival Internacional de Música Ciudad de Ayamonte formando parte de la Orquesta Barroca del Festival Internacional de Ayamonte. Como solista he realizado recitales de trompeta y órgano por diversas Iglesias de la geografía española entre las que cabe destacar, la Iglesia de San Jerónimo el Real de Madrid y Basílica del Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, acompañado al órgano por P. Jafet R. Ortega. Habitualmente colaboro con el grupo “Globomedia” y Emilio Aragón. Durante estos últimos años he realizado conciertos en la Fundación Juan March, Gran Casino de Madrid, Auditorio 400 del Centro de Arte Reina Sofía,Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Son Servera (Mallorca), Hotel intercontinental de Madrid y Auditorio Nacional de Madrid. Actualmente soy fundador y director del “Grupo Laudes” de Madrid, Organista titular de San Jerónimo el Real de Madrid, miembro del grupo de metales 4BRASS. Tengo experiencia de muchos años dando clases de Piano, Trompeta, Lenguaje Musical, Armonía, e incluso informática musical a través del software Fínale tanto es Escuelas Municipales de Música como en Conservatorio Profesional, obteniendo gracias a esta extensa experiencia, una multitud de recursos didácticos y pedagógicos para impartir las clases adaptando a cada alumno la misma, y también poder facilitar el material de referencia correspondiente a través de Pdfs, mp3, mp4.
