En mi trayectoria profesional como profesor del Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona, y con 22 años de experiencia en enseñanza de piano moderno, he aprendido que el aprendizaje del piano tiene más que ver con la capacidad del alumno de saber escuchar con atención para luego poder copiar lo que el profesor le propone hacer en fáciles pasos muy progresivos. Es por esto que he creado una forma de "ver y copiar", basada en la enseñanza tradicional, sin dejar de lado las bases de lenguaje musical que te harán poder aprender una canción de forma sencilla. Lo que debes hacer es armarte de paciencia, porque en el aprendizaje de piano no hay milagros, por mucho que te vendan métodos en la red que lo prometen, y seguir paso a paso los vídeos tutoriales que te propongo, sin prisas, adaptados a tu nivel y nunca haciendo algo más dificil de lo que puedes interpretar. Virgilio Volante (Cassino, 1999) is a pianist, composer, and teacher. He studied with Giovanni Valle, Carlo Negroni, and Silvia Limongelli, graduating with honors and special mention with both the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Piano from the Conservatories of Frosinone and Milan, and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Composition with honors under the guidance of Maestro Riccardo Santoboni. He pursued advanced studies at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Pinerolo Academy, and the International Piano Academy of Imola, working with internationally renowned musicians such as Lilya Zilberstein, Pavel Gililov, Boris Petrushansky, Ingrid Fliter, and Igor Roma, as well as attending masterclasses with Enrico Pieranunzi, Bruno Tommaso, Barry Harris, and Ivan Fedele. He is a prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions, including the UK International Music Competition (First Absolute Prize), the Erik Satie International Music Competition (Platinum Award), and the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition. He has performed in major venues in Italy and abroad, collaborating with institutions such as the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, IUC, Piano City Milano and Napoli, and Atina Jazz. For many years he has been actively involved in teaching, offering piano and composition lessons at all levels—from beginners and amateurs to professional training—successfully preparing numerous students for exams and Conservatory entrance auditions. Alongside his teaching activity, he maintains an intense career as a pianist, composer, and collaborative pianist. His compositions are published by Valle Giovanni Edizioni Musicali.

Hello! I am a Hindustani Classical musician and teacher, specialising in Vocal and Bansuri (Flute), with a long and disciplined training rooted in the Guru–Shishya Parampara. My journey in Indian classical music began at a very early age, and I have undergone nearly two decades of rigorous training in Hindustani Classical Vocal under Pt. Pranay Pathak of the Bishnupur Gharana, where I developed a strong foundation in raga, voice culture, sur–laya control, and classical aesthetics. Alongside vocal training, I completed Junior and Senior Diplomas in Nazrul Geeti with distinction, which refined my sense of melody, expression, and lyrical interpretation. My instrumental journey later expanded into Indian Classical Flute (Bansuri), and I trained under Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and his senior disciples—Santosh Sant, Sameer Rao, and Rupak Kulkarni—of the Maihar Gharana, through the Vrindaban Gurukul, Bhubaneswar, where I continue my advanced training. As a performing musician, I have appeared at reputed venues such as Rabindra Sadan, Nazrul Mancha, Netaji Indoor Stadium, and major cultural platforms at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras. I have also served as the primary flutist of the Eastern Technology Music Society (ETMS), IIT Kharagpur, and my work has been recognised through awards at Inter-IIT Cultural Meets. In my teaching, I follow a structured, methodical, and student-centric approach, focusing on the essential elements of Hindustani Classical music—sur, laya, voice culture, breath control, raga development, bandish, layakari, and musical expression. For Bansuri students, I emphasise tone production, fingering technique, meend, gamak, murki, and raga-based improvisation.
