I have taught students at a university level as a substitute professor for a senior level Electrical Engineering course. Additionally I spent several years providing programming "boot camps" for National Instruments certifications. I encourage my students to reach out to me through shared spaces such as Discord or course messaging boards in order to promote student interactions. This method helps me learn how to effectively communicate at the level of my students via analogies, examples, demonstrations, and community interaction. I believe that teaching is the final step in fully understanding a subject, students are wonderful at finding a question I've never considered! Typical course load consisted of weekly homework with one scheduled hour-long office hour per week to help with assignment questions. I am currently very flexible with scheduling times, please feel free to contact me for any mathematics needs! I can teach all levels of mathematics through 2nd year calculus (typically 200-300 level courses) and I can provide help for many engineering classes in Materials, Electrical, and Computer engineering.

I'm Sophie, a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in computer science. I began tutoring in 9th grade and continued through college, totaling 9 years of tutoring. My coursework and previous tutoring experience enable me to offer tutoring across a wide range of subjects. My offerings include: math (elementary arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra 1&2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, & calculus); science (biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy & physiology ); English (literature, grammar, composition); and computer science (C/C++, Python, JavaScript, SQL, algorithm analysis). I can also provide tutoring for a selection of AP classes, SAT/ACT preparation, and college admission essay writing. I primarily tutor high school students, but I have also worked with middle and elementary schoolers. I am particularly passionate about math, which is many students' most hated subject. Math is a language; it has its own vocabulary, syntax, grammar, and semantics. As a tutor, it is my job to translate the language of math into my students' "learning language." Some like visual learning—pictures and graphs. Others prefer example-based lessons that relate to a "real life" experience, or perhaps tie in to a concept from another class. Sometimes students benefit from thinking aloud. Certain students want time to work through a new problem on their own before I give the lesson. My favorite part of tutoring is figuring out my students' learning language. It is incredibly rewarding for both of us. I can’t promise to turn a math-hater into a math-lover, but I can promise to make math more accessible and help my students succeed in class. Mi nombre es Alberto y soy un físico especializado en astrofísica y física de partículas. Siempre me ha fascinado la idea de comprender en profundidad el mundo en el que vivimos y entender por qué las cosas ocurren como ocurren. Bonjour, je m'appelle Anaïs j'ai 23 ans, et cela fait 3 ans que je donne des cours particuliers et du soutien scolaire, essentiellement en mathématiques jusqu'en Terminale ( L, ES, S (avec spécialité et STMG) et physique-chimie et SVT jusqu'au niveau seconde. Je suis bien équipée j'ai des livres avec le programme scolaire, un PC gamer et une tablette graphique. J'ai suivie beaucoup d'élèves et ils ont tous progressé. Comme chaque élève est différent je m'adapterai toujours à lui. J'ai pour habitude de vérifier ce qui est acquis sur le chapitre en cours et/ou les chapitres précédents, ensuite d'expliquer ce qui n'a pas été compris et enfin bien-sûr l'application avec des exercices. Pour bien s'exercer, je peux aussi proposer des exercices supplémentaires et des devoirs maisons et/ou contrôles.

Estimados, la metodología a emplear está basada en reforzar la confianza en tus capacidades y aprender a perder el temor a la materia que quieres reforzar. Las clases son prácticas, dinámicas y con ejercicios desarrollados en clases como guías a realizar para clase siguiente. Debe existir gran sinergia en alumno y profesor para la obtención de un exitoso resultado.

Hello, my name is Matthew and have been working as a Software engineer in the United States for about a year now. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Computer Science in May of 2023. I love math and logic, and anything else that ties those two together.
