Hi everyone!
My name is Efi, and I am a native Greek tutor.
My courses are very beginner-friendly, and I also focus a lot on having fun while learning! The most common plan I use is a 3 hours a week plan that is consisting of 2 lessons of 1.30 hours each. If you choose this it is possible for you to reach B1 level in Greek in 6 months! Another plan I use is the intensive courses. These consist of 10-20 hours per week! These are suggested if you have more time to give to your Greek learning and by choosing these you could even reach B1 level in one month!

I am an economist, risk and compliance consultant and teacher of Latin, Greek and mathematics.
I graduated in business economics and management from Bocconi in 2016, I obtained a Master's degree in European Studies in 2017 and a master's degree in International Relations in 2018 from LUISS. My work experience develops in consultancy, mainly technology and audit, and in 2013 my teaching adventure began between Rome and Milan, immediately after finishing high school. Since then I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages, coming from different parts of Italy.
My experience has taught me that each student is unique, with their own strengths and challenges, and this has helped me develop a personalized approach to tailoring lessons to each student's specific needs.
My lessons are held both individually and in groups, from middle schools to university students and then to couples of adults who simply want to integrate their training to discover the deep roots of the language that we all speak today.
I am excited to share my passion for these classical languages with students who wish to learn them or improve their skills. I have dedicated many years to the study and teaching of Latin and Greek and believe that these languages offer a unique opportunity to explore the culture, literature and philosophy of antiquity.

Sono un Docente di ruolo, con più di quindici anni di esperienza nella scuola e nel campo delle lezioni private: Italiano, Latino, Greco. Le mie lezioni partono dall’osservazione delle potenzialità e difficoltà dello studente, per arrivare poi a calibrare interventi mirati con apposite esercitazioni, scritte ed orali. Impartisco lezioni private in Latino e Greco, nelle materie letterarie e in Italiano, con percorsi per lo sviluppo ed il consolidamento della lingua scritta, per la quale mi pregio di avere il titolo di giornalista pubblicista ( ho scritto su diversi periodici) e di essere anche uno scrittore ( saggi letterari, racconti e poesie, per i quali ho avuto più di un riconoscimento ufficiale ). Ho sperimentato percorsi di scrittura creativa, in forma collettiva e privata.
Impartisco, da anni, lezioni private ad alunni delle scuole medie e superiori, a studenti universitari e ad adulti. Ho fornito diverse consulenze per la redazione o la revisione di testi scritti (dalla narrativa alla poesia alle tesi di laurea), anche in lingua latina. Da più di qualche anno oramai, anche in considerazione dell'emergenza legata al CoronaVirus, utilizzo la metodologia delle lezioni online (con diverse piattaforme) che risulta essere, oltre che più sicura, anche più comoda e flessibile soprattutto per gli studenti, i quali dimostrano di apprezzarla sempre di più.
Attualmente sono dottorando (dall'anno 2020) presso l'Università degli Studi di Basilicata (Storia ,Cultura e Saperi dell'Europa mediterranea, dall'Antichità all'Età Contemporanea), con un progetto di ricerca in Storia romana che si occupa di migrazioni, mobilità e percezione dell'alterità nell'antica Roma.

Experienced teacher ( with more than twenty years of teaching ) gives online lessons of ancient Latin and Greek, philosophy, history, Italian Literature/ language. I can provide lessons suitable to first learners , intermediate students or advanced ones. My method involves step by step solutions ( regarding translations), focusing on how to solve particular textual passages. Grammar rules, idiomatic sentences, lexical explanations will be explicitly and extensively analysed and notes will be added to summarize the content of each lesson. My goal is delivering clear and complete lessons, covering whatever is needed to help the students and foster further knowledge. Human touch, patience and kindness are my core values , when I teach. My formal background was completed at the University degli Studi di Genova , where I studied literature, classical languages, history and philosophy. Since then , I have constantly kept myself up to date, improving my skills both throught the process of teaching and by exploring the latest teaching methods. I am passionate about what I do, considering teaching the best way to connect with people, spreading my knowledge and helping others to find their own vocation.
