Hi there! My name is Alexandra-Claire and I am a Canadian-Greek English tutor living in the Netherlands. Alongside music, knitting, and cats, languages are my passion. Sharing this passion with others and encouraging them to discover their own relationship with their target language has been the most meaningful calling for the past 12 years, and one I hope to continue exploring. I have been teaching English for the past 12 years, both as a freelancer and as part of a learning institution. My most recent experience has been working with students aiming at obtaining Cambridge Certificates of English, English for academic purposes, and English for professionals. My teaching philosophy centres around the premise that learning should be fun. Through encouraging a creative, interactive and engaging environment, students are motivated to explore their own individual relationships with their target language, allowing them to become confident speakers. Ciao a tutt3! Sono Massimo Vazzana, un attore palermitano attualmente domiciliato a Bologna, dove, tra uno spettacolo e l'altro, mi sto laureando alla magistrale di Filologia, Letteratura e Tradizione Classica. Sono un appassionato di Lingua e Cultura Latina e Greca, soprattutto Mitologia, e il mio approccio con gli studenti è sempre stato rivolto a sviluppare la curiosità e la creatività, componenti essenziali nel Teatro, ma che permettono anche di approcciarsi allo studio con un occhio diverso, più aperto e consapevole. Latino e Greco sono considerate "lingue morte", e di fatto lo sono, eppure continuano a vivere ininterrottamente nella nostra cultura, nelle nostre tradizioni (di ogni genere, persino culinarie), nella nostra lingua. È assurdo come quasi ogni singola parola italiana, dai termini più usuali a quelli prettamente scientifici, derivi dal Latino o dal Greco. Cosí come la maggior parte dei nostri modi di dire o proverbi. E sapete quante volte mi è capitato di non conoscere il significato di una parola italiana e di indovinarlo proprio a partire dal Greco, senza bisogno di usare il dizionario? Nelle mie lezioni, online o in presenza, offro la possibilità agli studenti di approfondire o recuperare i programmi di studio ma anche di affrontare lo studio stesso con un pizzico di gioco e fantasia in più, riscoprendo "l'utilitá" spesso dimenticata delle materie umanistiche. D'altronde tutto è nato lí, sarebbe un peccato perderci le nostre origini, no? 😉

My teaching philosophy: -Speaking is essential. You CAN'T learn a language without speaking. So speaking will be the top priority. -Grammar has to be taught clearly and in an easy way, however Grammar should not prevent the student from speaking. The main purpose is to be able to communicate. -Reading is also a vital part of every lesson in order to boost the vocabulary and become familiar with Greek texts. -Homework will be provided after each lesson. -Listening exercises will be also given as Homework. -Writing is a great way for further improving for command on the Greek language regardless if you are a beginner or a fluent speaker.

As the holder of a teaching diploma of the Greek language from the University of Aristotle of Thessaloniki and a Master 2 of research in Classical Letters from Paris IV-Sorbonne, I created learning supports specific to teaching Greek to French-speaking people based on my experience of teaching at home or on the Internet. My students are very diverse: children and adults, people who want to learn the Greek language as a foreign language or bilingual people or even Greeks who live abroad. We progress together from the beginner level to the most experienced level. In general, my methodology adapts to the needs, objectives and age of each student. I have created and continue to create interactive online exercises that make the learning process fun and enjoyable. With these, I also provide the diverse material necessary for the courses. Besides that, I also give more specialized courses: conversation courses for those who want to focus on their ability to communicate; courses on professional objectives for those who want to work in Greece; intensive courses for those who want to learn quickly to live or stay in Greece (ideal for the Erasmus program).

Ciao! Sono Melania Casadei, ho una Laurea Triennale in Lettere Classiche (2020) presso l'Università di Bologna e una Laurea Magistrale in Filologia, Letteratura e Tradizione Classica (2023) sempre presso l'Università di Bologna. Da circa 2 anni sono docente presso una scuola privata di Italiano, Latino e Greco. Tuttavia il mio primo approccio con l’insegnamento risale a 5 anni fa: da allora svolgo lezioni private e aiuto ragazzi e ragazze, dalle scuole superiori all’Università, a raggiungere i loro obiettivi. Inoltre, questo autunno (2025) conseguirò l’abilitazione all’insegnamento da 60cfu. Sono molto disponibile e flessibile!

English is a language that a lot of people use and it would be great to communicate with people in English.
