I was born in Regensburg, Germany and grew up in Penang, Malaysia. After completing high school (IGCSEs) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at the International School of Penang, I worked at North London Collegiate School Jeju, South Korea for six months as a gap student and tutoring Geography to small groups of students. Following on from this, I completed my undergraduate degree in Environments, majoring in Environmental Geographies, Politics and Cultures at the University of Melbourne in Australia. During this time, I also completed a language summer programme at the University of Hong Kong and taught in rural Thailand during university holidays. After relocating from Australia to the UK, I have taught Geography at several independent colleges in London and St Albans and have also built my tutoring business. I then went on to complete a PGCE in secondary Geography from the University of Cambridge. I am bilingual, speaking English and German fluently. I thoroughly enjoy both Geography and tutoring with a passion. I believe education is the key to positive change in the world and a good quality of life, and individualised private tutoring is some of the best forms of education a student can receive.

Sono dotato di ottime capacità comunicative e di trasmissione della conoscenza. Sono appassionato della materia, predisposto al confronto e lontano da insegnamenti prettamente mnemonici. Il confronto, il dialogo e il ragionamento critico sono alla base delle lezioni che posso impartire sulla materia geografica, sia per quanto riguarda il ruolo della geografia fisica che di quella umanistica. Inoltre, essendomi occupato di gestione e valorizzazione del territorio, credo sia importante dimostrare quanto la geografia oggi sia materia cardine per comprendere e valutare l'impatto di vita nei moderni ambienti cittadini, da un punto di vista sia sociale, culturale che artistico.

Soy Sergi y estoy predispuesto a enseñar de una forma que intentaré al máximo que sea lo más fructífera/productiva posible y a la vez lo menos aburrido posible lógicamente, por esta razón valoro muy positivamente que haya "feedback "constantemente alumno-profesor para corregir/redirigir las clases en función de tus necesidades. Mi forma de impartir/repasar/reforzar las asignaturas se basan en la seriedad, paciencia, respeto y se podrían llegar a realizar con un toque de humor. El método de aprendizaje mío es en función del contenido y adaptándome según a las necesidades del alumno y del apartado de la asignatura. A partir de aquí se podría realizar una clase con una 1a parte más teórica y una segunda parte más dinámica y práctica. Mis particularidades son entusiasmo, pasión y ganas por enseñar ya que estoy muy ilusionado en mi vocación. Hago clases de mi ámbito (ciencias sociales, geografía, historia, historia del arte, economía más parte teórica, geopolítica..) de todos los niveles des de primaria hasta universitario. No dudes de contactar conmigo ya que tengo mucha flexibilidad horaria, ya que en el centro escolar que estoy actualmente realizo pocas horas y no son de carácter fijo.
