I encourage you to ask questions at any time, to jump in at any moment, to speak your mind whenever you like — even if it's not yet fully formed. I especially encourage you to make mistakes, because every mistake is proof of your courage to try, a trace of your active thinking, and a sign that you are truly *using* the language. I have always believed that a good teacher is not one who makes students dependent, but one who helps students need the teacher less and less.
