Durante mis estudios de ingeniería, hace unos 30 años, impartí mis primeras clases individuales de Física y Matemáticas, y me di cuenta de que me gustaba mucho ver a los estudiantes dominando nuevos conceptos. Desde entonces, he trabajado principalmente en la industria, en la educación superior (Universidad de Sheffield) y como profesor de idiomas multilingüe, mientras en segundo plano desarrollé ideas innovadoras en torno al aprendizaje, que plasmé en un curso ("Aprendizaje consciente" - búsquelo en Google en spaziosereno.com), que fue probado con éxito en mi Universidad con posgraduados de varias facultades. En 2022 me mudé del Reino Unido a Sudamérica, donde resido actualmente, pero me gustaría enseñar en línea a estudiantes del Reino Unido y países europeos. Esto podría extenderse fácilmente hasta altas horas de la noche en Europa, ya que ahora resido en la zona horaria GMT-5, para dar cabida a estudiantes que trabajan, etc. Estoy feliz de enseñar Matemáticas desde lo básico hasta Álgebra y Cálculo, y Física clásica, con un alto grado de satisfacción de los estudiantes. My classes are a mix of written, oral and kinesthetic parts. I like to show the concepts in Physics with how they are applied in real life. Once the meaning of the Physics concept is clear and we have established a sort of 'connection' with it, then we will dive into the formulation of the problem and the mathematical treatment of the same. Where the student is particularly interested, I would also prepare 'off-line' some simple examples that the student can try safely at home. At the beginning of each new lesson, we will make sure that the previous lesson is well understood by solving 1-2 exercises. After a few lessons, we will start understanding the motivations that drive the student to learn Physics and then tailor the follow-up lessons in a way to maximize the learning process with as little effort as possible. I essence, we will devise a suitable plan that fits the NEEDS and WANTS of the student. And we will keep refining it until we find a way that works best. Ours will be a 'partnership' in which we will aim at achieving our results in full in less time possible and using as few energies as we can.

Realicé mi doctorado en la Universidad de Cantabria, en el ámbito de la Geometría Diferencial, y a continuación pasé tres años como investigador postdoctoral en la KU Leuven de Bélgica. Durante estos años he estado impartiendo clases en distintas asignaturas de Matemáticas a estudiantes universitarios de Matemáticas, Física, Ingenierías, CC Biológicas y CC Químicas. Creo que la labor de un profesor (particularmente de Matemáticas) tiene que ser la de utilizar su propia experiencia pasada como estudiante para ayudar al alumno a adquirir los conocimientos de forma rápida y sólida, ayudándole a ganar en intuición propia sobre las materias. En clase suelo preocuparme mucho por adaptar las explicaciones a cada estudiante y siempre intento buscar nuevas maneras de explicar las cosas hasta encontrar el formato que mejor se adapta al alumno. La labor pedagógica me resulta muy estimulante, nunca me canso ni pierdo la paciencia con nadie. Las encuestas de los alumnos en la universidad siempre me han otorgado calificaciones muy altas, superiores a la media del resto del profesorado. Los alumnos suelen pasarlo bien en mis clases, y yo también lo paso bien con ellos.

Salve! Sono Leonardo e vivo a Firenze, ho una laurea magistrale in Matematica (Istituto Matematico Ulisse Dini di Firenze) ed una vasta esperienza nell'insegnamento. Per una rapida e solida referenza cerca su Google il libro "Leonardo Peggion Elementi di Matematica". Seguo studenti di Economia, Ingegneria, Agraria, Biologia, Fisica, Architettura, Scienza della Formazione, Neuroscienze ecc. e studenti del Liceo Scientifico, Liceo Classico, Liceo Artistico, Istituto Linguistico, Istituti tecnici, ecc. Molto spesso purtroppo le prove di Matematica sono vissute come un muro insormontabile. Per fortuna non è così! L'esperienza mi insegna che le prove si superano sempre se ben guidati e sostenuti. Le lezioni sono personalizzate e tengono conto del programma, delle specifiche problematiche dell'allievo, del suo stato d'animo e della sua emotività. Le mie lezioni non sono “ripetizioni”, ma sessioni in cui spiego all’allievo l’essenza della conoscenza matematica, della logica che la tiene insieme e del metodo di studio più efficace ed efficiente. Passeremo in rassegna tutte le tipologie di esercizi in modo da non avere alcun fianco scoperto ed essere quindi sicuri di superare le prove scritte e l'orale. Nelle mie lezioni cerco di sviluppare le capacità di ragionamento logico del mio allievo affinché, dopo un certo tempo, la comprensione della matematica diventi fluida e scorrevole. Queste aumentate capacità intellettuali saranno di grandissimo aiuto anche nell’affrontare qualsiasi altra materia. Le lezioni online si svolgono con webcam, tavoletta grafica o tablet su una particolare piattaforma che mette a disposizione un'avanzata lavagna condivisa.
