🌿 Science teacher - Biology specialist. Friendly, engaging and effective. Hi there! I’m Jeff, an experienced, friendly, and dedicated Science teacher with a First-Class degree in Environmental Biology. I am a fully qualified secondary teacher having completed the Teach First programme and have 5+ years of teaching experience in secondary schools. I can offer support across a range of subjects, levels and exam boards - such as KS3 Science, GCSE Biology Chemistry and Physics, A-Level Biology, IB Biology and IB Environmental Systems and Societies. 📚 Why choose me as your tutor? Subject Expertise: With my First-Class degree in Env Biology and my PGCE qualification in teaching Secondary Science, I bring a deep understanding of the subject, and explain complex concepts in a way that’s easy to grasp for students. Student-Centered Approach: Every student is unique and will have their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to learning. I take time to really understand each and every student, tailoring my approach to ensure a personalised and effective tutoring experience. I also make lessons fun and go above and beyond to ensure the student makes progress and builds their confidence. Exam Excellence: Tackling exams can be daunting. I provide strategies, practice sessions, and valuable insights to prepare for exams and boost exam performance. Overall, my friendly and encouraging approach to teaching ensures that every student feels comfortable and confident when learning. I have a range of resources that I use and share with my students, enabling them to deepen their understanding and prepare effectively for exams. I also have a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and have taught English to students in Colombia and Spain and so no matter what your background, I will be easy to understand.
