The course of the lesson varies depending on the student's needs, and can include explaining concepts that they haven't quite grasped, doing exercises, redoing an exam so that they understand their mistakes, or helping them to do a homework assignment. I always come to class with exercises on the chapter the student is studying. If we haven't done these exercises, the student can do them as homework for our next class.
