About Me – English Tutor Hello! My name is Naomi, and I am a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic English tutor with a TEFL certificate and experience teaching primary and secondary school students. I enjoy helping learners improve their English skills, build confidence, and discover that learning a new language can be both enjoyable and rewarding. I understand that every student is different. Some learners may already know a little English but want to speak more confidently, while others may need help with basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, or writing. That is why I believe lessons should be adapted to each student’s age, level, interests, and learning goals. My Teaching Experience My tutoring experience includes working with primary school pupils preparing to transition into Primary 4 and Primary 5, as well as secondary school students learning subjects such as Mathematics and Physics. These experiences have helped me develop patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain ideas in a simple and understandable way. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into smaller steps so that students can learn at a comfortable pace. I also encourage learners to ask questions, practise regularly, and keep trying even when something seems difficult at first. I believe every student deserves encouragement and the opportunity to improve. What You Can Expect from My Lessons My English lessons are friendly, interactive, and focused on your needs. Depending on your goals, we can practise everyday conversations, learn useful vocabulary, improve grammar, work on pronunciation, develop reading comprehension, and build speaking confidence. For teenagers and adult learners, we can focus on practical English for everyday communication, school, work, travel, or personal development. I will encourage you to participate actively rather than simply listen. You will have opportunities to practise what you learn, make mistakes without feeling embarrassed, and receive helpful feedback to support your progress. My Teaching Approach As a tutor, I value patience, respect, encouragement, and consistency. I understand that learning a language takes time, and I do not expect students to know everything immediately. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where you feel free to express yourself and improve step by step. I will do my best to understand your challenges, recognise your progress, and adapt our lessons when necessary.
