Step 2: Move the +5 to the other side by subtracting 5 from both sides. 2x + 5 - 5 = 15 - 5 → 2x = 10 Step 3: Divide both sides by 2 to isolate x. 2x ÷ 2 = 10 ÷ 2 → x = 5 See? No magic, just balance.
