Hello, I'm Sandra, a Computer Science teacher with 10+ years experience in teaching - 8 years teaching children in the UK public schools and a private international school in Spain. My experience ranges from teaching basic computational thinking to 7 year olds to more advanced topics at A level and beyond. For GCSE and A-level students I provide teaching materials (presentations) and practice materials (worksheets, past papers, etc). I've taught and marked students following OCR, AQA and Edexcel boards (incl. international students). For me, the most important trait of a teacher (especially online) is patience and the ability to explain difficult concepts with real-life examples. I make sure you do not leave my lesson having doubts or gaps in your understanding of the current topic. I tailor my lessons based on your level, experience, age and comprehension speed. I have resources appropriate to 5 year olds, and 50 year olds. I believe that learning should be a fun and engaging process in order for it to stick. There are many professionals out there, who are great at programming, but may lack teaching experience and the right approach for each learner. My experience with a large range of age groups, nationalities and cultures allows me to connect on a human level with my students and help them overachieve their expectations. I like spending my free time in nature, dancing or traveling. Ich bin Sandra, Informatiklehrerin mit über 10 Jahren Unterrichtserfahrung – davon 8 Jahre an öffentlichen Schulen in Großbritannien und einer privaten internationalen Schule in Spanien. Meine Erfahrung reicht vom Unterrichten grundlegender rechnerischer Denkfähigkeiten für 7-Jährige bis hin zu fortgeschrittenen Themen auf A-Level und darüber hinaus.
Für GCSE- und A-Level-Schüler stelle ich Unterrichtsmaterialien (Präsentationen) und Übungsmaterialien (Arbeitsblätter, frühere Prüfungen usw.) zur Verfügung. Ich habe Schüler nach den Standards von OCR, AQA und Edexcel unterrichtet und bewertet (einschließlich internationaler Schüler).

Für mich ist die wichtigste Eigenschaft eines Lehrers (insbesondere online) Geduld und die Fähigkeit, schwierige Konzepte anhand von Beispielen aus dem echten Leben zu erklären.

Ich bin überzeugt, dass Lernen Spaß machen und spannend sein sollte, damit es nachhaltig bleibt. Viele Programmierer sind zwar hervorragend, haben aber oft nicht genug Unterrichtserfahrung und den richtigen Ansatz für jeden Lernenden. Meine Erfahrung mit unterschiedlichsten Altersgruppen, Nationalitäten und Kulturen ermöglicht es mir, eine menschliche Verbindung zu meinen Schülern aufzubauen und ihnen zu helfen, ihre Erwartungen zu übertreffen.

Meine Freizeit verbringe ich gerne in der Natur, beim Tanzen oder auf Reisen.

Sandra has shown a good level of knowledge about her subject. She has been very reliable. She has also been patient and understanding with her sterling efforts to help my son attain a high GCSE grade.

Sandra is a great teacher for those who are beginning programming and who have learnt previously and need a refresher. After my first year of college, I was worried I would struggle with the second-year concepts and coding, so I decided that the extra support from a tutor may be the right path for me. While waiting for year two to start, Sandra has been assisting me with Python programming. We have been learning from the ground up and due to he ... r excellent teaching, I’ve become a much more confident programmer. Investing in myself ahead of my second year has been one of the best decisions I’ve made as it’s reduced my stress of being left behind the rest of the class.
