HI, MY NAME IS MUSLIM, I am from Almaty Kazakhstan. I AM A NATIVE RUSSIAN SPEAKER and Advanced English speaker. I am teaching Russian as a foreign language to English speakers and I can also teach English to Russian speakers. I KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE. That's why I am trying to focus on conversational practice. I am sure it is the most effective way to learn and it can be applied to any language. It helps to become fluent and confident. One of the most important ways to improve your English pronunciation is to listen to native speach as often as possible. Even if you don't understand it. The thing I did and I am doing now is I turn on and casually listen English TV channels, audio podcasts, videos while I am doing something else. For example, washing dishes, doing house work, driving etc. Motivation is the key to learn any skill. If you really want to give up, take a pause, and try to think how important English knowledge is personally for you. Write down pros and cons of learning English and how much time you are able to dedicate to it. If you feel there's too much new information for you, try to slow down and concentrate on conversational practice, even if you make a lot of grammatical mistakes. Theory is also important, but you can learn when you become more fluent and your level of interest in English will grow. Imagine that you are speaking in your first language and about the things that you enjoy discussing.
