Hello! I am Kyla Jhorge Andrade. I am a senior BA Language and Literature student from University of the Philippines Baguio. I have extensive offline English teaching experiences. In 2020 to 2022, I was an English tutor to elementary to high school students in our neighborhood, teaching them mainly grammar and reading. In 2023, I taught English literacy to Grade 3 students in Springhills Elementary School for 50 hours as part of our Literacy Training Service for NSTP. Last year 2025, I completed 100 hours for my internship at Prenza National High School where I taught English to Grade 7 students, focusing on assessing their reading aloud and comprehension skills. I also have experience as a content writer at Quizlet, where I create study guides on different English literary pieces such as Wuthering Heights, Of Mice and Men, and Beloved. Though not exactly a teaching experience, it shows my inclination on educating students around the world and my skill to turn complex information into easily understandable materials, which is exactly what ESL students need. I am a student-focused teacher, and I like to organize my lessons according to the learning objectives and needs of the student. I also tailor the lessons according to the student's age and interests. I believe that personalized learning leads to better engagement and lasting progress. My goal is to be a supportive and effective guide in every student’s English learning journey.
