Hi everyone. I am Edward Yang (Yu-Cheng Yang), and I am a current Speech and Hearing Sciences student at the University of Washington. I’m a certificated Mandarin teacher from Taiwan, and I have been teaching Mandarin overseas for the past 7 years in different educational institutions from primary school to university. I specialize in conversational Mandarin; however, I am flexible to adjust the class’s content and pace based on each student, and I would make students feel satisfied after classes because I aim to make all my classes practical and useful, and provide assignments for students to practice and review outside of classes. My teaching philosophy is "Connection not perfection", and the process of learning a language should be fun and rewarding.
