Hey everyone! I’m Armie, from New York. I discovered easy ways to learn math as a teenager, and I've been helping my students, and others, get better at it ever since. I love traveling around the world to experience the beauty of different places, people, and cultures. I find plenty of that beauty intertwined with math – I know, right? In my free time, I enjoy humanitarian work, reading, working out, and whenever I can, I dive into some video games. I’m also passionate about arts and music, which are never far from my heart. I’ve been teaching math professionally for six years, with just over a year of that being online tutoring. However, my tutoring experience goes way back to my college days when I did it as a side gig to help pay for my tuition—surprise! In just seven months last year, I successfully delivered 1,000 hours of online math tutoring for a diverse cohort of over 20 students spanning Europe and East Asia. I majored in literature, but my understanding of math goes beyond what you find in textbooks. You can take my word for it, or you can book a trial session and see for yourself—more on that in a bit. I focus on IB, GCSE, and AP courses, and I typically work with students aged 12 to 18. But if you're a couple of years older and need help, I'm here for you! The one thing you can count on from my class is that you'll leave with a lesson fully learned and understood. I’ll walk you through every point step by step, as many times as you need until it really sinks in. I use plenty of visuals to make problem-solving easier and keep things interesting.
