Hello! I'm Anton Norris, an enthusiastic English teacher with 14 years of experience. I’m originally from Ireland, but I spent 12 wonderful years in China, where I taught business English to employees and managers at companies like HP, Dell, and Accenture. I also helped students prepare for university and job interviews. Now back in Ireland, I focus on teaching adults about Irish culture, business English, and IELTS preparation. I really enjoy creating interactive and engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs. My teaching methods draw from CELTA and TEFL training, incorporating a variety of techniques like: Introduction and Key Words: I start by introducing key vocabulary and concepts to set the stage for our lesson. CCQ (Concept Checking Questions): I use these to ensure understanding and clarify any doubts. Word to Meaning Matching: This helps reinforce vocabulary in a fun way. Gap Filling Exercises: These are great for practicing grammar and context. Role Plays: I love using role plays to simulate real-life situations, which makes learning practical and enjoyable. Speaking Games and Activities: I include games that stimulate conversation and creativity, making sure we have fun while learning. Creative Speaking: I encourage students to express themselves through creative activities, enhancing their confidence and fluency.
