In my classes, we follow a step-by-step program that I have designed, implemented, and received feedback on over the last 3 years, aiming to learn to confidently speak Spanish and French and use the languages independently for travel and exploration. We will start by reviewing previous lessons or engaging in readings, depending on the student's level. Next, we will cover vocabulary and a grammar note before proceeding to classwork to integrate the new knowledge into our current skill set. My focus is on conversation and speaking from day one, aiming to overcome the fear of speaking. I have been learning languages for over thirteen years. I have taught myself Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian to conversational fluency, and am currently learning Arabic. I have studied dozens of other languages to lesser levels. I have traveled to Latin America, Brazil, Spain France and Morocco in order to practice and learn languages. Take advantage not just of my knowledge of languages, but my experience with the people and culture where the languages are spoken.
