Hi, I’m Amitava. I tutor advanced high-school and first-year college physics students, including AP Physics 1, 2, and C, as well as College Physics I & II. I specialize in exam-focused problem solving for AP Physics (Mechanics & E&M) and introductory college-level physics. My approach also works well for international curricula such as IB and A-Level, where conceptual clarity and structured reasoning are essential. I use tools like clear visual reasoning, smart reference frames, and symmetry to simplify problems that initially look complicated. With the right perspective, many difficult questions become straightforward. I’m patient and attentive to how students think, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals — whether that’s exam preparation, improving problem-solving skills, or strengthening fundamentals.
