To master any subject, a clear concept of the topic is paramount. My lesson style ensures the student has a clear understanding of what is being asked and that they can grow to be confident in solving problems.
The structure of each lesson is as follows:
Each lesson we start off with a small exercise based off the previous lesson to ensure that the student is confident with that topic.
In the main section of the lesson we will go through the new topic content. The style of lessons will vary between students, but in all lessons I encourage conversation related to the topic to broaden understanding. I have found that this is one of the best ways to engage students and see them progress in their confidence.
After this, to compound the topic knowledge and information, questions are given to the student to solve, this may be accompanied by extra questions from myself to encourage a problem solving and critical thinking mindset. This helps develop a greater understanding and identifies areas where further assistance is required.
Applying maths and physics to real world scenarios is another area I like to encourage. My goal for you as the student is to obtain a solid understanding of the subject that will allow you to retain the information learnt and take your exams with confidence.
As I come up to four years of tutoring, I find it extremely rewarding to see students grow, overcome challenges and have fun during their studies. During this time I have learnt different teaching techniques and how to tailor each lesson for each student so you can get the best support you need.

Mi metodología de trabajo se adapta a la necesidad del alumno, es decir, la velocidad de adquirir el conocimiento esta determinada por la capacidad del alumno por lo cual es un trabajo en equipo donde lo importante es superar esa dificultad y quedar de manera practica y sencilla con ejemplos aplicados el conocimiento. Hello ! I'm Ralph Rayess and i am a graduate student at the American University of Beirut. Majoring in mechanical engineering (BA and M1), mechatronics (M2), as well as pure mathematics (BA) in the Lebanese University Faculty of Science, my repertoire of topics for tutoring is very big.
