Hello, my name is Corinne, I have been teaching on Classgap since December 2021. I obtained my TEFL certificate 3 years ago, where I started my journey of teaching English online. I have loved being a teacher on this platform, and meeting so many people from all over Spain, South America, and Europe. Teaching online is different from classrooms, and way more interesting, with much more talk time. One of my most effective methods is the communicative language teaching style. This is where I will teach the English language based on the types of situations my students will find themselves in whilst going about their general daily lives. I find this to be highly effective because the students can then put into place what they have learnt once they leave the classroom. The second style I use is a hybrid style where I will teach the subject using my knowledge and my life experiences whilst staying within the boundaries of the curriculum. This enables me to stay flexible based on the educational needs and learning styles of the students I am responsible for. We do classes with lots of speaking, learning new vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, as well as prepare for exams. I have a very flexible time table, and I will always try and help students find a time to suit their needs.
