Hola, soy Lucía, graduada en bioquímica con muy buenos resultados. Llevo más de 5 años dando clases particulares a domicilio, tengo mucha experiencia y buenas referencias. Soy una persona muy animada, con gran capacidad de motivación y muchos recursos didácticos. Para los más peques me gustan las clases amenas, donde se involucren y participen mucho mientras que para cursos más avanzado sobre todo bachillerato soy muy consciente de la necesidad de avanzar comprendiendo la materia. Soy muy responsable con mi trabajo y me tomo muy en serio el aprendizaje de mis alumnos. He estudiado parte de mi carrera en Canadá por lo que habló inglés sin ningún problema. Además he estudiado en Paris y Cannes (Francia) y también hablo francés. Mis especialidades en bachillerato son química y biología mientras que en la ESO y primaria he dado todas las materias sin ningún problema (apoyo al estudio) incluyendo idiomas. Tengo gran flexibilidad de horarios y me intento adaptar siempre a las necesidades del alumno, no me importa variar clases en periodos de exámenes. I am an electronic engineer, I have worked in a company, but I have always taught students from middle school to university. All my students have always thanked me because I systematically profit them, but above all their culture. I always say that each of us can become a scientist or can in any case make a great contribution through knowledge. Personally, I have noticed in practically every one of my students, from those with three debts to engineering graduates, a natural aptitude for science that must be cultivated. For example, you can find a meticulous student, a student who has a tendency to be orderly, who is analytical, who has an excellent memory, who is persevering, who is fussy, who is quick, who asks himself and asks you a thousand questions. Everyone, without exception, has the makings of a potential researcher. I give lessons in many disciplines and in multiple languages, the platform has allowed me to enter only two, in reality I can teach you: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Telecommunications (and all the disciplines related to the electronic telecommunications sector), Computer Science. But it is not just a matter of KNOWING THINGS, RATHER knowing how to TRANSFER them. Those who know me know how to appreciate the fact that if I have a student in front of me who has to recover a debt, I don't make him feel guilty, rather through "his language" I can make him understand step by step every even minimal notion related to the lesson we are carrying out. I'm Sophie, a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in computer science. I began tutoring in 9th grade and continued through college, totaling 9 years of tutoring. My coursework and previous tutoring experience enable me to offer tutoring across a wide range of subjects. My offerings include: math (elementary arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra 1&2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, & calculus); science (biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy & physiology ); English (literature, grammar, composition); and computer science (C/C++, Python, JavaScript, SQL, algorithm analysis). I can also provide tutoring for a selection of AP classes, SAT/ACT preparation, and college admission essay writing. I primarily tutor high school students, but I have also worked with middle and elementary schoolers. I am particularly passionate about math, which is many students' most hated subject. Math is a language; it has its own vocabulary, syntax, grammar, and semantics. As a tutor, it is my job to translate the language of math into my students' "learning language." Some like visual learning—pictures and graphs. Others prefer example-based lessons that relate to a "real life" experience, or perhaps tie in to a concept from another class. Sometimes students benefit from thinking aloud. Certain students want time to work through a new problem on their own before I give the lesson. My favorite part of tutoring is figuring out my students' learning language. It is incredibly rewarding for both of us. I can’t promise to turn a math-hater into a math-lover, but I can promise to make math more accessible and help my students succeed in class.
