Hello! I'm Muhammad Aftab, an MSc Mathematics graduate and a passionate Mathematics teacher with 5 years of school teaching experience and 4 years of private tutoring experience. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach students with different learning needs and abilities, which has helped me develop a patient and flexible teaching style.
I mainly teach Mathematics to students from Grades 6 to 10, as well as IGCSE and O Level Mathematics. I particularly focus on Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580), especially Extended Mathematics, where I help students develop strong concepts, improve their problem-solving skills, and prepare effectively for examinations.
I believe Mathematics becomes much easier when concepts are properly understood instead of simply memorising formulas. I explain topics step by step, use clear examples, and gradually guide students towards solving questions independently. My classes are organised according to each student's current level, learning needs, and academic goals.
During online lessons, I use a digital pen tablet to provide clear handwritten explanations in real time. This makes the lessons interactive and gives students a classroom-like learning experience, where they can easily follow every step of a solution. I also use practice questions and exam-style problems to help students build confidence and improve their accuracy.
I can also help students who need support with basic Mathematics and foundational concepts.
