Me llamo Edgardo y durante los últimos diez años he sido tutor en las materias de álgebra, precálculo, cálculo y álgebra lineal, así como en algunos cursos de ciencias de la computación e ingeniería como Python, Java/Scala, C/C ++, C #, MATLAB/Octave, R, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, ingeniería estática y dinámica, mecánica de materiales, etc. Soy completamente bilingüe en el inglés y español y puedo impartir mis lecciones en ambos idiomas.
Me encantaría que me entrevistaras para averiguar si puedo servirte. Con esto en mente (si tienes tiempo), sigues estos pasos para que saquemos mejor provecho en la entrevista:
1) Organiza y sube tus materiales a la nube (G-Drive, Box, etc.) o adjúntalos en tu mensaje.
2) Incluye algunas asignaciones, SOLUCIONES y EXÁMENES DE PRÁCTICAS (muy recomendado), fotos, documentos, sitios en la web, enlaces, etc., relacionados con el material que estás estudiando y/o los cuales estarás estudiando PRÓXIMAMENTE
3) Trata de incluir el prontuario de tu curso (si lo tienes)
4) Si no tienes prontuario, incluye un documento indicando los libros de textos que estás usando (título, autor, edición, etc.)
5) Enviame un mensaje y provee el enlace hacia tus materiales en la nube, así tomo un vistazo y tenemos una entrevista más productiva
Esos pasos mejorarán en gran medida las posibilidades de que un tutor acepte trabajar contigo en materias AVANZADAS o NO COMUNES. Lo creas o no, ¡los tutores NO lo saben todo! Pero en mi caso, yo puedo leer y sintetizar nuevos conocimientos y hacerlos agradables al paladar de mis estudiantes. Es ahí donde esos cinco pasos entran en la ecuación.

Durante mis estudios universitarios trabajé como tutor, asistente de instructor, asistente de laboratorio de ciencias, desarrollador de currículo, e instructor de programación de computadoras en seis instituciones educativas localizadas en cinco países, enseñando a cientos de estudiantes de muchos países y culturas diversas. Profesionalmente, laboré como ingeniero/programador-analista para compañías e instituciones educativas en el sector público y privado.
Mi estilo de tutoría es muy práctico y al grano, con énfasis en el uso de la tecnología e Internet para completar el trabajo a través de la visualización, ejemplos del mundo real e ingenio. Intento evitar tanto como sea posible la memorización y la repetición y, en cambio, me concentro en enseñarle a mis alumnos los conceptos claves generales que pueden usar en todas sus clases técnicas.
He impartido tutorías a estudiantes de tan sólo 8 años de edad hasta adultos profesionales de 60 años o más. La mayoría de mis estudiantes vienen desde sus últimos años de escuela secundaria hasta universitarios en tercer año. También a través del año tengo varios estudiantes adorables de escuela secundaria, jóvenes adultos muy dedicados en grados de maestría o doctorado y distinguidas personas ya entradas en edad cambiando de profesión o adquiriendo un nuevo pasatiempo.
Mi objetivo principal es enseñar a mis alumnos a pensar de una manera general, inductiva y original para que puedan aplicar esas mismas habilidades a cualquier faceta de su trabajo académico y sus vidas. Algunos tutores resuelven ejercicios para su alumno, otros tutores enseñan cómo resolver ejercicios específicos, etc. ¡Mi objetivo es enseñar a mis alumnos cómo resolver cualquier ejercicio, pero más que nada, mostrarles como enseñarse a sí mismos convirtiéndose así en autodidactas!
