Hello, my name is Mingzi Du and I am an Chinese language teacher from Shanghai, China. I have a great interest in traditional Chinese culture, and I enjoy traveling and trying different cuisines. I am passionate about exploring the wonders of nature and the field of education.
During my college years, I worked as a language partner for international students. After graduating, I worked in the human resources field in finance. For the past three years, I have been teaching Chinese as a foreign language, providing both offline and online tutoring courses to over 200 Chinese learners. My teaching method for Pinyin is simple yet efficient, enabling students to quickly recognize and read Pinyin. I also place great emphasis on tone teaching, addressing students' pronunciation difficulties.
My courses cover a wide range of topics, including situational conversations, HSK, HSKK, Business Chinese, YCT, 轻松学中文, Children's picture books ,Travel Chinese. As a teacher, I am serious and patient, and I always summarize notes for each class and review my students' progress. I also strive to create a relaxed and interesting classroom environment to enhance the learning experience.
Some students have expressed to me that learning Chinese can be challenging, but I firmly believe that with proper guidance, it can be made easier. At the first lesson we will get to know each other and evaluate together the way to follow. Each person is different and each student has their own needs, time and method of study. The lessons will be planned according to your needs: to learn the language from scratch, even as a hobby, to pass an exam for the acquisition of a certificate, to deal with any test, school or university exam or fill gaps.
I will explain the topics according to your needs, studying in depht all the concepts and we will perform exercises together. I’ll propose some material to deepen and review the topics also in autonomy. Through study and exercises I will help you to develop written and oral comprehension, written and oral expression and listening.
It is possible to take lessons of Italian literature. Also I can organize some “lessons-trip”: in this period in which you can not travel, I will take you to visit Italy and in particular Sardinia, through photos, videos, history and myths.
I will speak exclusively in Italian, to improve the knowledge of it, but I know English in case you need to communicate differently or there is some misunderstanding.
Lessons will take place online, on the platform you prefer, having the convenience of following them directly from home.
I am patient, attentive and punctual. I dwell on every point until it is clear and learned, trying to stimulate reasoning and eliminate any doubt.
