Hello everyone! I’m Jiahong, a teacher holding an International Chinese Teacher Certificate. My major is Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. I began my journey in international Chinese teaching during my second year of postgraduate studies. After graduating, I spent six years teaching Chinese in training institutions, focusing on one-on-one courses. Since then, I have been teaching Chinese to international students at a Chinese university, covering various types of courses. I am experienced with beginners and have a solid understanding of advanced learners as well. Besides teaching Chinese, I enjoy social Latin dances like salsa and bachata. At the beginning of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, dancing became impossible for all of us. In response, Chinese salsa teachers gathered online and offered numerous dance courses for enthusiasts across the country. I benefited greatly from these online classes, and my dancing skills improved rapidly. These instructors brought light and hope to my life during that challenging time, helping me maintain a positive attitude. This experience also inspired me to pursue online Chinese teaching. My target students are adults, I will create a teaching plan tailored to your personal needs, provide you with all necessary course resources, and help you identify and correct the main issues in your Chinese learning. We will also practice through stories to reinforce your skills. At the same time, I believe that a pleasant learning atmosphere is a prerequisite for mastering Chinese."
