Hello! I'm Gary. I'm a native English speaker born and raised in South Africa.
I originally qualified in small business management and game ranch management; I have also completed my TEFL certification to teach English as a second language. I speak three languages so I can identify with the challenges of learning an additional language.
I have been involved in agriculture for many years. I recently worked for a number of years in New Zealand as a production manager in various fields. Teaching and motivating people to become their best in their specific sectors and assisting them in improving their productivity.
I have also been involved in the hospitality industry, accommodating and guiding foreign tourists in South Africa and neighbouring countries
It has been my pleasure to teach people of all ages and cultures in a variety of fields.

Enseñó francés (mi lengua materna) de la secundaria hasta el doctorado y fui directora de dos Alianzas francesas.
Debido a los largos años de experiencia enseñando francés, me di cuenta de que cada estudiante tiene diferentes necesidades, por lo tanto tengo en cuenta este hecho, me adapto a los estudiantes.
Tengo un criterio bastante amplio en la enseñanza del francés que me permite escuchar atentamente las necesidades de cada estudiante para llevarlo a dominar el idioma francés.
Trataré de informarles en pocas palabras sobre mi metodología
La presencia de un método se definirá desde el principio, de modo que la clase sea tranquila para los alumnos. Se seguirán los temas utilizados según la elección del libro y el nivel estudiado en relación con el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia (MCER) para todos los idiomas, y permitirán al alumno prepararse para DELF o DALF.
Mi estrategia es hacer un pequeño retorno al método tradicional, es decir, desde el principio insisto particularmente en la lectura, que es una forma de desarrollar una buena pronunciación y familiarizarse con el idioma francés. Tanto las instrucciones verbales como las escritas deben ser claras y no ser un obstáculo. El objetivo de la instrucción es poner al alumno en acción, guiarlo a establecer un procedimiento para lograr un punto, y activar sus facultades de razonamiento, análisis para que llegue a un entendimiento general.
Desde los primeros cursos el alumno será actor y durante la clase desarrollará un espacio social o intercambiará información, experiencias, opiniones y al mismo tiempo el alumno se familiarizará con el vocabulario, la gramática y el lenguaje. la conjugación que permanece muy presente en mi mundo de enseñanza del francés.
Los temas de la vida cotidiana de la sociedad francesa o del mundo francófono le permitirán desarrollar el conocimiento, de forma progresiva y guiada, y podrá interactuar en situaciones auténticas de la vida cotidiana según sus sentimientos, de su experiencia y cultura Por lo tanto, desarrollará estrategias que progresivamente lo llevarán hacia la autonomía.
Mi método de trabajo se adapta a cada persona. Como mencioné anteriormente, aseguro al alumno de un desarrollo de la enseñanza del francés de la mejor calidad.
