Hello! My name is Wendy — although my students usually call me Teacher Wendy.
I am a TEFL-certified native English teacher from the United States, currently based between Madrid and Miami. I specialize in helping adults and professionals build confidence and communicate effectively in English.
I have experience teaching both online and in person, including several years in a bilingual school in Madrid. In addition, I have a background in business and have worked in multinational companies, which allows me to understand real workplace communication and support professionals who use English in their jobs.
My classes are structured, practical, and focused on speaking. I help students improve sentence structure, vocabulary, and pronunciation so they can express their ideas clearly and sound more natural and professional in conversations, meetings, and everyday situations.
If you understand English but find it difficult to speak with confidence, I will guide you step by step in a supportive and organized way.

Soy profesora de idiomas con más de 10 años de experiencia ayudando a estudiantes de todas las edades a alcanzar sus metas lingüísticas. Actualmente resido en España y he tenido el privilegio de enseñar en diversos contextos: desde aulas tradicionales hasta clases individuales en línea. He trabajado con estudiantes que van desde niños pequeños y jóvenes preparándose para exámenes, hasta profesionales que necesitan mejorar sus habilidades de comunicación o prepararse para entrevistas laborales.
En mis clases, me enfoco en adaptar las lecciones a tus necesidades específicas y a tu estilo de aprendizaje. Ofrezco dos tipos principales de clases:
1. PRÁCTICA DE CONVERSACIÓN 🗣️
En estas sesiones, trabajaremos juntas/os para ampliar tu vocabulario, perfeccionar tu pronunciación y fortalecer tu confianza al hablar. Estas clases son ideales para quienes quieren mejorar su comunicación, ya sea para viajar, trabajar o simplemente disfrutar de conversaciones en otro idioma.
Mi enfoque es relajado y siempre de apoyo, asegurándome de que te sientas cómoda/o y en buenas manos mientras practicas y refinas tus habilidades lingüísticas. Podemos utilizar materiales de la vida real, como:

o incluso herramientas tecnológicas como Modelos de Lenguaje Avanzados (LLMs). Además, estas sesiones están disponibles tanto para estudiantes de inglés como para aquellos interesados en aprender español.
2. PREPARACIÓN PARA EXÁMENES 📑
Si estás preparando una certificación de Cambridge English, puedo acompañarte durante todo el proceso. Gracias a mi amplia experiencia, te ayudaré a desarrollar las habilidades y estrategias necesarias para superar el examen con éxito. Juntas/os podemos trabajar en áreas clave como:
✍️ Redacción de ensayos.
📖 Mejora de la precisión gramatical en los ejercicios de lectura y uso del inglés.
👂 Perfeccionamiento de la comprensión auditiva.
El objetivo es que te sientas segura/o y lista/o para el día del examen.
Si lo prefieres, también podemos combinar ambos tipos de clases según tus necesidades. Mi meta es crear lecciones dinámicas y efectivas que te ayuden a alcanzar tu máximo potencial como estudiante.
