I’m Samuel Beddoe, a process development chemist with over five years of research experience, including two and a half years in the pharmaceutical industry. I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, where I developed a strong foundation in synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry, and solar materials. During my time at Concept Life Sciences, I honed my skills in process optimization, scale-up chemistry, and the purification of small molecules, managing to handle complex and novel chemical APIs with ease.
My passion for teaching began during my studies and grew significantly while leading innovation projects and mentoring students during their industrial placements. Hello! I'm Isabel Solano. I have a degree in Chemistry with a Biochemistry focus and a Spanish minor from Willamette University in Oregon, USA. I moved to the UK in May 2021 to teach secondary school science. I got my QTS while teaching full-time in Bournemouth, England. I then moved to Northern Ireland and taught in a school near Belfast. I am fluent in Spanish and I have a TEFL certification. I'm excited to have the opportunity to help people achieve their English/Spanish language and/or science goals!
I have a passion for helping people achieve their academic goals and am open to teaching all ages. I prefer tutoring and teaching at KS3 and GCSE levels because believe these are the levels at which it is essential to nurture the development of strong foundational skills that will allow students to access curriculum at a higher level should they choose to.
I have experience teaching in person and online. I am currently offering private online tutoring for chemistry, biology, Spanish or English as a Foreign Language! I use an explicit instruction approach. My job is to make the subject you study as clear as possible, with lots of opportunities to practice the skills you develop!
