I have over 3 years of teaching experience, mainly in person, but also online. I am a 1-1 music tutor and teach both acoustic and electric guitar.
The format of my lessons is very basic, but it works. We start off a normal lesson by playing some warm up exercises. After that, we simply work on whatever it is you want, whether that is learning a new song, a new style, preparing for a music grade exam, learning about the fretboard and music theory, the list goes on. If you aren't sure about the next thing to do, or I'm teaching a younger student, I will provide material for us to work through which will improve overall playing and competence.
I believe in being patient with my students and listening to what their goals are. You will never feel pressured in one of my lessons and above all, they are kept light-hearted and fun!
I can't guarantee you'll play like your idols after a few lessons, but I can guarantee that if you put the work in and practice alongside taking my lessons, you will be one step closer!

In this way you will be led by the hand and you will learn many things without too much effort. However, constant application on the instrument is required for maximum results.

Hola. Me llamo Jorge Zurita, nací en Bolivia y hace muchos años que me dedico a la música. Graduado de la facultad de Medicina en Cuba, decidí también realizar una carrera profesional en la música, pero de manera autodidacta.
A los 12 años me regalaron un guitarra y desde entonces he ido perfeccionando el arte de tocar, haciendo música de manera creativa y aprendiendo por mí mismo. Luego he tenido la dicha de que otros músicos también compartieran sus conocimientos y no he parado desde entonces.
He participado en diversos festivales, hecho conciertos en salas y grabado algún que otro trabajo, también he sido guitarrista de varios proyectos.
Seguiré por el camino del aprendizaje, algo que considero nunca dejar de hacer, y ahora ofrezco mis conocimientos para que también tú puedas disfrutar de la música y desarrollar todo tu potencial.

I have been passionate about music since I was young;
I learned the guitar first and then other instruments like bass, keyboard and vocals to record myself and create my own tracks.
I have a lot of experience playing with rock, soul, funk and electro music in bands and I am open to all styles.
Today I would like to share my achievements with students curious to learn an instrument and progress quickly so that playing music becomes a pleasure.

First I have to check the level of the student to assess his specific needs.
If his instrument has chosen is suitable, learning will be easier, so I find out about the
instruments at his disposal, a metronome is also recommended to train properly.

I can advise on all the tools related to the guitar, tuning, settings, position.
My method is as playful as possible, as little theory as possible and above all the practice of the instrument
by the student. To vary the exercises, I can do a course on rhythm during a class or study
specific parts of the studied piece to prepare to play it perfectly.
I conceive my own methods to transcribe easily the structure of the songs that we can play,
it allows a bit like the tablatures not to have to know music theory on the fingertips.
Also, for the scales I designed a very playful and easy to remember method to be able to quickly
progress and play the first improvised solos.
I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years, and I am comfortable on acoustic, electric, and electro-acoustic.
Because I have played in bands I know all that is necessary to play with several people to stay in sync and listen to other players.
I also practice singing, and it's very useful for accompanying oneself on the guitar and doing covers.
