Hello I'm Theo Bowyer. I have taught the piano for over 10 years and have experience guiding students through various piano grades. I am adaptable in my teaching and always find how to unlock the potential in my students making sure they have an enjoyable experience in learning the piano. I had classical piano training and started learning the piano at the tender age of 5 - taught by my Grandad. I enjoy teaching all age ranges and my knowledge reaches from classical to jazz. I have also taught music in primary schools and therefore feel this has given me more all round skills to teach even more effectively. I am a firm believer in making sure the student becomes excited about the piano and this I believe helps them learn in more depth. I have a broad understanding of writing music as well and at times I integrate this into my lessons - even allowing my students to write their own piece and then record it so they can have a physical copy for them to listen to! I built my own piano teaching business from scratch and I am happy to travel to the student or teach from home.
