My methodology is to focus on key concepts of English grammar and utilise them in conversation for an additional intuitive understanding of the language. I have set courses if desired, but I often have a short evaluation for my students as the first lesson, followed by a customised plan in what interests them. It can be written, spoken, grammar or specialised vocabulary. It is really up to you.
I believe that, although understanding grammar is critical, in practice, language is a natural system. To speak fluidly, it needs an intuitive, inherent understanding. I invite my students to be unafraid, to try even when they feel doubt or are unsure, to make errors. Having the courage to speak in another language is the first step, to break the taboo of "being wrong". Everything else becomes simple after that.
