Dear student:
My name is Carla Ortega.
I am a specialist teaching from the zero level, basic, medium or advanced, of violin, but especially viola.
I focus a lot on basic technique, using various methods, such as Galamian, Sevcik, and Simon Fischer, if it's needed.
I focus in the same way, on the instrumental repertoire and making the student understand the musicality of the pieces and how they should study them.

I am also a teacher, in the violas section of the Orchestre du Collège de Genève (OCDG), with which I also prepare the student, how to play and how to learn the orchestral repertoire.
The first lessons or first lesson, are usually short, so, there is a presentation and like this, the student can meet the teacher.
Once the first lesson has been completed, the lessons are usually one hour, but it can vary, depending on the student's availability and concentration.
I have a degree in the Valencia Conservatory of Music, in the field of concert (viola) started in Groningen, Holland.
I have completed three years of Master in Podium in Antwerp, Belgium (Koninklijke Conservatorium) and I am going to get my second master, specialized in concert, in Geneva, Switzerland.
I won several awards in Spain, together with scholarships, as in Antwerp, such as Soroptimist and performed recitals in Europe.
I have received classes from: Santiago Cantó, violist at the Palau de la Música, Ervin Schiffer, Leo de Neve, Roberto Díaz, professor at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, Walter Küssner violist at the Berlin Philharmonic and in Geneva, Máté Szücs ex-soloist of the Berlin Philharmonic, among others.
